Apparently all I need is my iPod, my bank card and a bottle of water - oh and an umbrella and I am good to go!
I got back around 1pm and walked downtown and around by myself. It was nice to have some down time - and do some exploring in the craft shops!!!
I managed to find the needles I needed and a wooden handle to insert the needles for when my projects get a bit bigger...oh and then I found a bag with multi-color wool in it...which I consider an investment - as I couldn't find the paddle brushes to combine my different colored wool.
So - I am hoping Tim sees eye to eye with me on this.
When I asked at the Singer Store (not like a musician but like the sewing machine brand) lady (who thankfully spoke English pretty well) - she thought I meant a lint brush. Sigh. Clearly not one who uses wool.
No biggy. I may go there to shop for my wool from now on - I found in the stationary store that they sold 30g for 3 Euros a bag (kind of pricey) and then there was the Singer Store - who had a bunch of different colors and natural tones - and the price was based on weight and color...which is pretty fair. But I'm still going to keep an eye out - because I feel like an idiot for buying 2 needles from the Singer Store - at 2 Euros each. When I got a 3 pack (all the same guage from the looks of things) at 2,90 Euros.
Live and learn. Sorry this is soooo crafty - but I thought I'd let you in on my adventure for the day.
Back to the feltin' :-)
(Presently working on a flower - I'm thinking of attaching them to my slippers when I'm done making those.)
